Q. How does Conservation Hardware make money?
A. Conservation Hardware is supported financially through a combination of donations, grants, and products sold at cost plus 10%.

Q. I’m Interested in making a small green change in my life. How should I get started?
A. You can take little steps today and start noticing the benefits right away. For example, you can replace your traditional light bulbs with CFL bulbs and save approximately $75 in energy costs over the life of the bulb. Or, you can start composting, which diverts waste from landfill. At Conservation Hardware, you’ll find hundreds of inexpensive products to help you turn your household (or dwelling) green. Our Living Green Starter Kit includes everything you need to start your green lifestyle today. Each kit saves about 32,000 gallons of water, 1,500 KwH of electricity, 1700 pounds of carbon dioxide and $250 per year. At $35 per kit, that’s a nice return on your green. (Sorry, we couldn’t help it.)

Q. Do I have to become a member or pay a fee to take advantage of Conservation Hardware’s inexpensive products and services?
A. There is no fee or membership required. You only need to have a desire to save money and energy.

Q. How can I get Involved with Conservation Hardware?
A. There are a number of ways to be involved with Conservation Hardware. Please see our Get Involved section for more details.
